.... a magnificent 17th century country house a few miles from Bath. Set in its own grounds in gorgeous open countryside, Chelwood House is ideal for large group short breaks. With exclusive use of the whole house, groups can enjoy a private weekend or week in sumptuous accommodation.

The 9 bedrooms of the main house each have the luxury of an ensuite bathroom and can sleep 18 – 24 people comfortably – max 27. You also get the option of taking the Chelwood Annex which provides a further 3 ensuite bedrooms, so the biggest groups can be up to 33 people!

Oceans of space is available in the function room for your celebration meal and party, and you can go entirely self catering, or let outside caterers come in to take care of your special meal.

Our typical customers are groups on family holidays and reunions, special birthday celebrations, hen weekends, and stag weekends. Theme parties and Black Tie dinners are popular - ask us for ideas.

Many weekends this summer are now booked, so please contact us early to get options on dates. Bookings for October, November and December are coming in fast at present. Note, ask your group about coming midweek instead, you can save a lot! Eg Three nights midweek is usually half the price of a weekend. We are competitively priced for full week reservations, and we are attracting ever more corporate enquiries for training/ bonding/ managerial breaks especially midweek.
